Hello ECR fans,

As school year has ended and summer has begun, I thought it would be appropriate to recap the incredible year ECR has had. Beginning with the 40 year anniversary party, everything seemed to go just right for the ECR students and community. Below you will find a list of the major accomplishments from the 2009-2010 school year. There are so many awards, trophies and achievements that I am sure I have left something or someone out so please forgive me in advance if that is the case.

Your involvement allows us to continue to increase and enhance the opportunities for all of the ECR students.

Saturday April 24 is a really big day for El Camino Real!

The Academic Decathlon team will be in Omaha NE competing for the national championship!

The Robotics team will be in Dallas TX competing for the world championship!

The Friends of ECR will be hosting the

"Sip the Night Away" wine & beer tasting event.

You will have the opportunity to taste 14 different varieties of top rated wine and 8 different varieties of beer. Add in delicious food, awesome shopping opportunities in the silent & live auctions and you have a recipe for the perfect evening, all the while helping the kids. This year's live auction includes "front row VIP" graduation seats, a student parking spot and a beautiful polished ebony Yamaha clp308s digital piano. This is the place for finding deals!

What could be better then Jazz at ECR!

The Spring Jazz concert at ECR is Thursday April 22 at 7:00 in Anderson Hall. Come hear our award winning Jazz bands play, The concert is FREE!

PTSA needs your help.

Several executive board positions remain open for the 2010-2011 school year. PTSA needs these positions filled to maintain our good standing and to continue helping our students with senior scholarships, music scholarships, the reflections art program, SAT and ACT preparation classes, student aid and more. Last two PTSA meetings of the year...

On May 4, 2010 the ECR administration will be discussing the school calendar changes.

One June 1, 2010, Obie Slamon will be discussing sending kids to college.

Both meetings will be held at noon in the Parent Center.
