Jazz Performance this Thursday at ECR

Come hear El Camino Real's two fantastic jazz bands. The concert starts at 7:00pm in Anderson Hall. Admission is FREE!

The Big Event

On Friday, January 29, 2010, the Visual and Performing Arts Department at El Camino Real High School will be presenting THE BIG EVENT.

This event will present the best of our Art's program including a visual arts display in the main entrance and performances by the Jazz Band, Camerata, Choir, Dance Team, and Drama. Over 1000 CREATIVE ARTS STUDENTS will be represented! The goal of the event is to not only showcase our amazingly talented student performers, but to also bring focus on how important the arts programs are in public education.

THE BIG EVENT will be in Anderson Hall at 7pm. Tickets are on sale now for $15. All of the proceeds will directly benefit ECR's Visual and Performing Art's programs. We encourage you and your families to come out and celebrate this amazing night of art and performance.

PTA scholarships for graduating seniors Feb. 1 due date.

Looking for money for college? California State PTA offers $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Selection is based on community service. A PTA/PTSA membership card is required in order to apply.

Participate in ECR Career Expo 2010

El Camino will be holding the annual Career Expo on March 11, 2010. We are excited to be bringing back this wonderful event. Our past Expos were a success for both students and employers.

We are looking for our parents/guardians and community members who would like to enlighten our juniors and seniors about possible careers. At the Expo, you will have the opportunity to make informal presentations to small groups of students.

The Expo welcomes whatever your company can offer to the students. This is a wonderful way to give to your community and your student's school. If your company is interested in participating, but doesn't isn't sure how or doesn't currently offer internship, please contact us and we can help.
